I'm not here to fix you, or help you become fixed. My drive is to provide you with a powerful way to courageously explore who you are. There are potential side effects to this, such as developing a strong sense of where you're going, a release of stress and burden, and an increase in confidence. But let's take the pressure off achieving these things and see where that takes you.
Over the 17+ years spent in community development I've crafted an effective and respectful style of coaching and mentoring, and have supported hundreds of people to make positive changes along the way! My approach is super-charged with an Integrated Diploma in Holistic Wellness Coaching (equivalent of QCF Level 5). The skill is in holding space for you, asking the right questions at the right time, and being creative within the session to keep it fresh and interesting.
What does it mean to be open to life? I believe it's a journey of discovery. More than that, it's being aware of the journey of discovery. Awareness uses the senses, watches the senses, and can even watch the thoughts!
My journey started young, when I questioned, in a frustrated way, "Is this it? Is this all there is to life?"
For a long time after I was a frustrated seeker trying all sorts of approaches to feel better about my life.
But, at some point I learnt how to be better at feeling, and this was a gamechanger. It absolutely cracked me open to life!
I'm somewhere along the path to welcoming my feelings, emotions and thoughts as companions, old friends even, and whilst I can't say I've found the secret to everlasting happiness, I can say that...
My underlying sense of frustration isn't there any more in any meaningful sense... the overriding feeling is alive, emotionally broad, and I look around and think "wow, this is it... and there's so much more to it than I can ever know!"
Of course, illness, death and the end of relationships will happen, and I will have wild responses connected to these moments - so be it; I will feel them, know them and live with them... open to life for as long and as much as I can.
If you choose me as your life coach, I will do what is within my power and responsibility to help you do the same.
